This national project aims to develop North Sinai by focusing on agricultural development and agricultural manufacturing
relying on treated water at the Bahr El-Baqar station (5 million m³/day) and establishing an intake on the Salam Canal east of the Suez Canal (Sheikh Jaber El-Sabah Canal) and extending water lines from this intake to the reclamation and farming areas in North Sinai with a total area of 465 thousand acres.
Al-Zahi Group contributes to a number of infrastructure development projects to transfer water from the canal to the reclamation areas as follows: –
– Establishing intake No. 10, 43,500 km, right of Sheikh Jaber Al-Sabah Canal, including civil works for the intake station, lines, expulsion, and water transfer networks from the intake to the reclamation areas, with a contractual value of 691.4 million pounds, prices in 2022.
Establishing intake No. 24, 81,500 km, left of Sheikh Jaber Al-Sabah Canal, and implementing the same works as intake 10, with a total contract value of 736.4 million pounds, prices in 2022.
– Implementing pipe networks between Station No. 13 and Station No. 14, and between Station 14 and Station 15, on water transfer networks to the reclamation and aquaculture area in Gifgafa, North Sinai, with a total contract value of 600 million pounds, prices in 2022. 2022.
